Nearly a month after travelling to India, Bangladesh’s Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman has embarked on a visit to China from May 5 to 7, marking an important diplomatic engagement between the two countries. The visit, confirmed by China’s Ambassador to India Xu Feihong, comes at a time when both sides are looking to further strengthen their longstanding partnership.
The trip follows an official invitation from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee. “China attaches high importance to its relations with Bangladesh,” the Chinese Ambassador to India shared.
